Rita enjoyed a belated birthday celebration this month and the Cleveland Ukes provided some entertainment while the Ceilidh Band were having a rest. Credit to our previous group leader Zohrah for the song lyrics and Julie for organising the surprise (and arranging for it to be videoed).
We are joining the pupils of Kathy Brown to perform a gig at St Nicholas Church, Guisborough on Saturday 11th June. Tickets £4/ £2 conc available at Greensleeves and on the door.
We are pleased to be doing our first "headline" gig in aid of Saltburn Animal Rescue on the evening of Friday 8th April. It would be great to see our friends there. See poster for details.
Thanks to Rita for these videos from Picnic in the Priory at Guisborough earlier this year
What a great weekend great company with Cleveland ukes brilliant trip on the train all playing together. Two good nights out starting with the Prairies, outstanding. Did anyone see the Pickering pixie ?
Here we are on the 'official' video (we are at approx 2.30 mins).
The event was arranged by Ukulele Events - http://worldofukes.co.uk/events-shop/
We very much enjoy being regular attendees at the Guisborough Forest Festival at Guisborough Forest Walkway. This year was particularly well attended, probably due to the unseasonably good weather, and we had a prime spot in the music arena just as people came in from the main car park. Many thanks to all who came to listen/sing/dance along. A big shout out and thank you to my friend Martin Kerr Photography for providing a great record of our day. Martin Kerr Photography - http://www.martinkerphotography.com/ The weather was far from kind for Saltburn Animal Rescue open day but I am assured all went well in spite of that. Thank you to Rita for the photograph, and to the people at SARA for making us welcome.
A fun time was had by those attending Northallerton Beer Festival at the Town Hall on Saturday 26th September. The eagle eyed among you may spot the 'guest' tambourine player. Just proves we are a friendly bunch! |
